The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) announced that the implementation of its new enrollment management system, named Enrollment Manager, will be delayed from mid-January 2023 to early March 2023.
Last week, NASFAA, along with other higher education organizations, signed on to a letter urging VA to delay the transition to the new system because the rollout didn’t give enough time for campuses to prepare, among other issues.
The announcement means veterans will be able to submit enrollment certifications during the peak spring semester enrollment period using the current VA-ONCE system, the department said.
VA said the delay is to allow for more time for campuses to prepare for the transition to the new system and it will provide multiple interactive training modules for campuses to learn more.
