Mandy Sponholtz

In her role as Vice President of Operations, Mandy works behind the scenes with our contracts, human resources, and accounting teams to ensure your project logistics run smoothly. Her focus on efficient, accurate, and compliant operations allows work with your consultant to begin as quickly as possible.
Mandy has been with Blue Icon since its inception in 2019 serving in business development, project management, and operations capacities throughout her tenure. Before launching Blue Icon, she joined NASFAA in 2015 as a policy analyst and later became the program administrator of the Standards of Excellence Review Program where she supported more than 30 peer reviewers across the country and managed the daily operations of the program. She has also served as a financial aid administrator at the University of Kansas and conducted training sessions and provided policy guidance while working at USA Funds. Mandy has a bachelor’s degree in English and a master’s degree in higher education administration.
