Kristy Laschober

Prison Education Assistant, NASFAA

Kristy Laschober is the prison education assistant at the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA). She joined NASFAA in March 2024 as the event logistics administrative assistant for the Prison Education Program, and transitioned into her current role in October 2024. Kristy earned a bachelor’s degree in Innovation and Leadership from Southern Oregon University. She has long been an advocate for removing barriers for individuals who have experienced incarceration. Kristy played a key role in efforts that led to the governor of Oregon signing legislation in 2021 to remove the criminal history question from all college applications in the state. She relocated from Oregon to New Orleans in 2022.
