Sydney Evans
Chief of Staff, NASFAA
Sydney Evans is the chief of staff at the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), where she serves on the Executive Team and leads the Operations Department. In this role, she oversees the day-to-day activities and processes that ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the organization.
Prior to her current position, Sydney served as executive assistant to the President & CEO, providing direct support and contributing to strategic leadership initiatives. She previously worked as a policy & research associate at NASFAA, supporting the association’s policy and research departments.
Before joining NASFAA in fall 2016, Sydney spent more than a decade in the student affairs division at the University of Maryland University College, where she served as a program manager and led a range of student-centered projects.
Sydney began her academic journey at the University of Maryland, College Park, and holds a bachelor's degree in legal studies, and a master’s degree in criminal justice management from the University of Maryland, University College. She lives in Bethany Beach, DE, with her fur-daughter, Morgan Victoria.
