Director of Research and Grants, NASFAA
Charlotte Etier is the director of research & grants at the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), where she oversees the association's research needs, encompassing practitioner, policy, and operational research. She also oversees the association’s development work, securing funding for multiple projects to further NASFAA’s efforts on behalf of its membership. Before joining NASFAA full-time in the summer of 2013, she worked as the Dallas Martin Endowment policy intern at NASFAA. Charlotte began her career in higher education as a graduate assistant in the financial aid office at Central Connecticut State University and later served as a financial aid officer at the University of Connecticut (UConn). She joined the NASFAA Policy & Federal Relations team full-time in 2014. Charlotte holds a master's degree in student development in higher education from Central Connecticut State University and a bachelor’s degree in political science and women's studies from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Originally from Charlotte, NC, she currently lives in Louisville, KY with her family.
