Effective for the 2020-21 award year, all Direct Loan borrowers (subsidized, unsubsidized, Grad PLUS, and Parent PLUS) will be required to complete the Annual Student Loan Acknowledgment (ASLA) before receiving the first disbursement on the first Direct Loan that the student or parent borrows for each new award year. Given that the Department of Education will make the ASLA available in April, NASFAA would like to ascertain the volume of borrowers who will be immediately impacted by the new requirement. Please respond to this one-question poll.
