Certified Financial Aid Administrator® Program
To qualify, candidates must have a combination of:
- Education (bachelor's degree or higher)
- Ethics (self-certify; acknowledge agreement to abide by NASFAA's Statement of Ethical Principles and Code of Conduct)
- Experience (have worked as a financial aid administrator for at least 1 year, minimum, depending on pathway; experience with a range of Title IV programs; NASFAA credentials)

Recipients must complete the earning criteria to earn this badge.
General Requirements
Financial aid professionals can qualify to sit for a credential test in the following ways:
- Complete an independent study on specific topics using a Self-Study Guide
- Take an instructor-led NASFAA U Online Course
- Demonstrate five or more years of well-rounded professional experience
- Attend a NASFAA Authorized Event that uses the approved NASFAA curriculum
